Meet our staff

Glenn Davis, M.D. (President and Founding Member)

Dr Davis is President and Co-Founder of Cypress Physicians Association. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Dr Davis graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry from Texas A & M University. He received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine where he graduated in the top quarter of his class.

He completed his residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. During his last year, he was Chief Resident for the combined Internal Medicine/Pedriatric residency program at Baylor College of Medicine.

In 2001, Dr Davis began his practice with MacGregor Medical Association at its Willowbrook location. In nine months he became the clinic's Senior Physician as well as Director of its Inpatient Services at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.

Next, in 2002 Dr Davis Co-founded Cypress Physicians Association, a comprehensive Primary Care medical clinic  that serves families throughout Northwest Houston. Cypress Physicians Association now has three convenient locations in the area.

Recently Dr Davis was awarded Methodist Willowbrook Physician of the year in 2007 and 2008. In 2009 he was named one of Americas top doctors by the Consumer Research Council. In 2010 he was named to the prestigious Aggie 100 honoring the most rapidly growing Aggie owned businesses in the world.

Dr Davis currently sees patients at each of his offices.

C.T. Hu, M.D. (Vice-President and Founding Member)

Dr. Chung Tai Hu is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been a practicing physician since 1975. He majored in Chemistry, graduated with Honors from the University of Cincinnati in 1968, and then completed the University’s medical program in 1972. He moved to Southern California, where spent three years performing post-graduate work, including a two year residency at the Santa Monica Hospital Medical Center.

Upon completing his residency, Dr. Hu moved back to Ohio and opened a private practice where he stayed until 1988. During his time in Ohio, he was a member of the Clinton County Board of Mental Health, the Clinton County Health Department, and worked as a member of the Clinton Memorial Hospital staff. He also chaired the Family Practice Department from 1985 to 1986.

In 1988, Dr. Hu moved to Houston to practice medicine with the MacGregor Medical Association. He was the Chair of the Family Practice Department from 1993 to 2002, and he was named the MMA Physician of the Year in 1994 and 2002. After receiving the second award, Dr. Hu co-founded the Cypress Physicians association in 2002 with Dr. Glenn Davis.

Dr. Hu is an active member of his community and a member of numerous associations, including the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the American Board of Family Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Practice.

Kathryn F. Ziegler, M.D.

Dr. Kathryn Ziegler majored in Biomedical Engineering and graduated Summe cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 1998. She attended Baylor College of Medicine, where she was a member of the Texas Academy of Internal Medicine Preceptorship Program and a Mentor in the Peer Resource Network.

After graduating from her medical program in 2003, Dr. Ziegler stayed at Baylor College of Medicine to complete her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. During that time, she became the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, a member of the Pediatrics Residency Curriculum Committee, and a Mentor for the Internal Medicine Resident’s Assistance Program.

Dr. Ziegler has received honorary recognition from many sources, including Texas A&M University Honors and several Letters of Commendation from Texas Children’s Hospital. She is volunteer Board Member of the Community of the Streets, and she was a Resident Advisor for the Reach out and Read program based out of Martin Luther King Health. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Ziegler joined Cypress Physicians Association in August 2007 and considers it a great joy to treat patients from infants to elderly.

Dr. Zielger enjoys time cooking and camping with her husband and children.  She and her family are active members of Trinity Espiscopal Church in mid-town Houston.  Dr. Ziegler enjoys teaching Sunday school to elementary children.

Judi Strapp PA

Judi Strapp is a certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has been licensed by the state of Texas since 1998. She received her degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University where she graduated in 1994. Judi worked in cancer research at MD Anderson before earning a Bachelor Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston in 1998. After receiving her certification, she worked as a Physician Assistant for eight years before joining the Cypress Physicians Association.
 
Judi received honors and recognition throughout her academic career, including the TAMU Distinguished Student award and induction into the Alpha Eta Allied Health Honor Society. She is a member of the Central Texas Physician Assistants and a fellow of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. She is a veteran of the U.S. Army and two-time recipient of the Army Achievement Medal. Today, she works with the Cypress Physicians Association to provide care to families within her community.
 
Judi enjoys swimming, cooking, reading and spending time with her daughter.

Stephanie Fong, M.D., F.A.A.P

Dr. Stephanie Fong was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to Kingwood, Texas as a child.  She has spent most of her life in Texas between the cities of Houston, Austin, and Dallas.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and growing family.  Dr. Fong loves seeing patients of all ages and especially values the opportunity to care for entire families.  She takes special interest in improving patient education and ensuring that patients take an active role in their own health care.

Dr. Fong is Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. She majored in Microbiology and the Plan II Honors program at the University of Texas, Austin where she graduated with Honors in 1999. She went on to earn her M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2003. She completed her postgraduate residency in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine before joining the Cypress Physicians Group.

Dr. Fong is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She was also the recipient of the Harold M. Albert Prize of Outstanding Plan II Senior Thesis and the Southwestern Medical Foundation Scholarship.

Jessica Brooks Anderson, M.D.

Dr. Jessica Brooks Anderson grew up in Bastrop, Texas, a small town outside of Austin. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science cum laude in Biochemistry and Genetics. She also received University and Foundation Honors and was recognized with the Margaret Rudder Award for community service. Dr. Anderson completed medical school in Galveston at the University of Texas Medical Branch and received the Tanya Johnson Memorial Award for service to children. She remained at UTMB for her residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, which she chose as a result of her love of continuity of care. “I truly enjoy the ability to serve all members of the family and promote their health with knowledge of medical issues spanning the spectrum of life from newborns to the elderly.” Dr. Anderson served as the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Chief Resident in her final year of residency and then joined Cypress Physicians Association in the fall of 2008. “I consider myself to be a very good listener, and I pride myself on taking time with my patients. I find it a privilege to know my patients and their families on very personal level.” In her spare time Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her young son. She also likes to volunteer, cook, travel, and participate in sports, including running, golf, and skiing. She is a member of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, where she teaches youth Sunday School and helps coordinate and participate in annual medical mission trips to La Romana, Dominican Republic

Amie Stringfellow, M.D.

Dr. Amie Stringfellow was born in Sacramento, California, but became a
transplanted Texan at the age of 9.  She started out as an undergraduate at
the University of Texas at Austin and then received her medical degree from
the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  She went on to
complete residency in internal medicine and pediatrics followed by a
fellowship in sleep medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.  She is board
certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics.  She sits for her sleep
medicine board exam in the fall of 2011.

Dr. Stringfellow joined Cypress Physicians Association in 2009.  She enjoys
treating patients of all ages and with all types of medical issues, but
sleep medicine holds a special interest to her given her own experiences
with obstructive sleep apnea.

Her husband is a student helicopter pilot, so she has also developed an
interest in aviation medicine.  She recently became an aviation medical
examiner (AME) for the FAA.  In her spare time, she loves traveling,
reading, and spending time with her husband and their two Scottish Fold
cats

Ana Molina-Anstee, M.D.

Dr. Ana Molina-Anstee joined Cypress Physicians Association in October 2009. She obtained her Bachelor of science in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1997. Attended University of Texas at San Antonio in which she graduated in 1999 with a Masters of Science degree in Biology. She went on to earn her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2004. Afterwards returning back home to Texas for her residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston which she completed in 2008. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Molina-Anstee is bilingual in both English and Spanish Dr. Molina-Anstee enjoys all aspects of both specialties but is specifically interested in preventative medicine, education for patients, and obesity and diabetes in all ages. “I decided on specializing in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics not only for my interest in primary care but to also have continuity of care with my patients from birth to late adulthood and to form great relationships in caring for the entire family.”

Damitra Ramos Patel MD


Dr. Damitra Ramos-Patel joined Cypress Physicians Association in April 2011.  She is board certified in both pediatrics and internal medicine. Dr. Ramos-Patel loves taking care of whole families – including children, parents and grandparents.  She particularly enjoys primary care pediatrics and newborn care, caring for children of first time parents and teen parents, and the care of older adults.  She also performs routine well-woman exams for her female patients.  Her approach to both pediatric and adult medicine is to provide gentle, compassionate and comprehensive medical and social care to her patients.  A mother herself, she also enjoys the pediatrician’s role in supporting parents in raising their children.  Dr. Ramos-Patel speaks fluent Spanish, and enjoys caring for families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
 
 
Dr. Ramos-Patel is a native Texan and obtained her bachelor of arts in English with a minor in Spanish from Trinity University in San Antonio.  She graduated summa cum laude, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and received the Colleen Grissom Award for leadership.  She earned her M.D. degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and stayed at Baylor to complete her residency in both pediatrics and internal medicine.  During that time, she served as chief resident, taught medical students in their physical exam class, mentored interns in the Resident Assistance Program and volunteered at the Casa El BuenSamaritano Clinic. She also received a Service First Award during her time at the Ben Taub General Hospital.
 
In her spare time, Dr. Ramos-Patel enjoys going on walks with her husband, baby girl and two dogs, photography, having her passport stamped in foreign countries, and trying out new recipes.

Heidi Nashed-Guirguis, MD

Dr. Nashed-Guirguis is a native Houstonian who grew up near Katy.  She completed her B.S. degree with a major in chemistry and biology  at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, and graduated magna cum laude.  She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and was awarded her M.D. degree in 2000.  Dr. Guirguis did her family medicine internship at St. Joseph Hospital in downtown Houston, then completed residency at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Ill.  Dr. Nashed-Guirguis is board certified in Family medicine.  She is a member in the Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, and American Academy of Family  Physicians.
 
Dr. Nashed-Guirguis enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, and volunteers at her local church in Sunday School activities and camps.
 
"I believe that good healthcare begins with prevention.  I recommend yearly wellness check-ups at every age, with vaccinations as needed.  I am passionate about caring for diabetes, obesity and womens health issues.  I enjoy caring for the entire family, all ages.  I am your advocate and together we will formulate a treatment plan that works.  I am patient and a good listener!"
